Our week in Denver...

Tara, Kailey and I spent a week in Denver with Jamie, Caroline and the kids. They (the parent people!) were involved in a friend's wedding that took them out of town. So, that left us with the keys to the house, 2 darling kids, 2 fish and a cat. Ashley had just had her tonsils out about a week before, it did rain hard for a few days and the temp outside turned cold, but it didn't stop us from having a good time. We got to spend time with the Letner's, which is always fun; did some shopping, (Tara found her way around just fine. She was determined to find whatever store she was wanting!!) we enjoyed the eating places, had time to do some reading and it was good just to hear the sound of the kids playing. Thanks for trusting us to take care of things for you Jamie and Caroline, we had a nice time in Denver. Being able to see everyone was the best treat.

Look! A big bike and no training wheels! She's been riding for awhile this summer without the extra wheels, but I (Roxann) hadn't seen it yet. Proud of you Ashley.

Michael and Ashley played so well together that cleaning up the mess was a joy. We had a nice evening together.

Dear Ashley and Michael,

Not a day goes by that we don't think about you and miss you. Hope you are having fun with your family and friends. I'm eager to hear how swimming lessons are going. You can show me what you've learned when I see you again. Ashley, we are trying to take good care of your flowers. Rory sure liked the ones you gave him. Kailey looks for you guys when she comes over; she misses you. Roby, Krista and Aiden will be here tomorrow (Sat) and I know they wish you were here too so they could see you; but they are happy you are home. And by the way, your pictures from soccer, Ashley, are here and we'll get them in the mail to you. You look so cute. Also,... Michael..., I kinda think Shelbee is missing you a little,... she seems bored!! Hope to see you real soon. Love, Aunt Roxann
